There are no shortages on problems in the world today. We all want to make a difference and advocacy is a fresh way to do this. Within Home Care, everyday is a chance to advocate for the rights of your clients and see your impact right in front of you and on the ground.

In this project you will have the opportunity to step into the role of an everyday advocate, observing instances where a client may require some advocacy, and suggest possible ways to support with this. In this project you will:

Select a client who you would like to support and back.
Identify instances where the client may require advocacy then offer some suggestion about what you could do to advocate for them (rather than speaking for them).
Submit your plan of action showing how you will advocate for your chosen client.

In this project, you will jump will explore different residents to care for and select one who you would be a good match for. Using the Project Pack you will build a profile pitch that will show the client:

Who you are and why you would be a good match as their home carer
Show your client how you can use your experience to help them with things they need support with.
